Take Flight and Build– developed by Scottish Rite Children’s Hospital, is an evidence-based program that supports children with dyslexia and reading difficulties. Using structured, multi-sensory techniques, it enhances reading, writing, and spelling skills. Our Orton Gillingham approach, provides your child with the tools in alphabet knowledge, letter and sound knowledge, phonological awareness, phonics, fluency, vocabulary and comprehension. The lessons are systematically and explicitly taught allowing students to build their confidence in themselves as the skills grow in complexity.

Based on the results of the comprehensive initial assessment, your child is placed in one of our programs.
Students are granted exclusive access to our virtual resources. Here they will be provided with additional personalized practice items and class recordings.
Our therapists provide frequent feedback on students progress through a quick progress check of previously taught skills every six weeks.
Instruction is adapted based on their progress measure and continued until completion.
Geared towards 5 years and older– This program features 200 lessons for more independent reading and literacy, and is recommended for kids who may have early signs of dyslexia and/ or reading challenges.
Our most comprehensive & rigorous program geared towards kids 7 and older. Take Flight features a robust curriculum and is recommended for children diagnosed with dyslexia & reading challenges.
Geared towards 5-6 year olds– Build serves as a precursor to *Take Flight and features 100 lessons for gaining independence in reading & literacy and is recommended for kids who may be at risk of falling behind in school.

No. Your child does not need a formal diagnosis of dyslexia to receive our therapy sessions.
For your child to receive the full benefits of the program it is necessary and highly recommended for them to complete the program in its entirety. However, classes are tailored to each student and can move quicker and or slower based on student need. The pace of the program is based on student performance.
